Wonderful

Brad is a very friendly and helpful host, the hostel is really close to the train and bus station, it's very clean, there are even some hygienic supplies as well as cookies/crackers and tea/coffee. Thanks a lot!

I thought I would be provided with an actual towel! I was given a disposable one. Which was OK I guess. Also, could Brad be open to having an microwaveoven installed? Would be good to microwave food! Thank you!

Friendly hassle free stay steps away from Hualien Main Station

Quiet, chill and very friendly! Awesome / sort of robotnik vibes! Stayed here twice now and would book again. Easy location few steps away from the train / bus stations.

Bed sheet had a bit of stain on it at the far end...no big issue. 1 washroom for 8 beds, but there are others in the building, so not end of the world! Just remember to bring your own towel!

Good location

Close to the main train station. Clean hostel, with hot showers, big lockers. The female dorm is compact but this hostel met all my needs for a 2 night stop to see Taroko Gorge. Brad (owner) also helpful.

Great Hostel close to train station

The host Brad was super friendly and welcoming, checking in and out was easy and fast. The facilities were in good state and very clean and I could store my luggage after check out. The location is very convenient, about 6 min walking distance to Hualien train station.

Would stay again.

Very well organised hostel with a helpful owner who speaks English good enough. We spent one night in the dorm and two nights in the double bunked bed room. The Dorm was spacious and comfy with lockers (not big though). Air con and fresh air circulation worked. Comfy bed with a plug. Everything was clean, also the bathrooms. Drinking water is available. The common room at the reception is not very cozy for hanging out for a while but does the job for talking to people. WiFi worked perfectly.

Only two, no, three things that I was missing... Towels (no possibility to rent) and a kitchen. And the double bunked bed room is pretty small.

Exceptional

This was an excellent hostel: the space was modern, super clean, and well thought out. The dorm beds were comfortable, and had an electronic locker (and even a TV and curtain). It was a convenient 6 min walk from the train station. My train arrived after hours, and Brad had a convenient after hours check-in process. Sad that I only had one night here, and will definitely be back next time I'm in Hualien. Thanks Brad for a lovely stay and for your hospitality!

Exceptional

Everything is great in this hostel. The owner is very friendly and helpful, he can give you good recommendations. The beds have maximum privacy with good curtains and walls and each have a plug, light and quite big locker. There was a bathroom inside my room but also more of them outside. It was clean. The location is excellent for going by train or bus to Taroko, also a supermarket is next door. There is free water, tea, instant coffee, and many maps available. I would come again.

The matress is relatively thin. I still slept well on it, but a bigger one would be more comfortable.
